This Saturday, April 19th, is national “Record Store Day” meaning that if you care about the future of quality music you’ll get your ass to the nearest locally owned, independent record store and spend your hard earned money on those records or cds you’ve been meaning to pick up but haven’t quite gotten around to. Send big box retail a message. Their price point aggression will not stand. Their time is up. The end is near. Ok, so that’s probably not true but anyone who cares about real music should take notice that this Saturday is Record Store Day and that in the age of downloads and discount mega-stores the independent music shops that we all grew up with are quickly becoming a thing of the past. We are however, not yet to the point of no return. Show your support this Saturday and every other Saturday from now on.
Damn the man… Save the Empire!
